BREAK IN - 2nd Street West

2012-12-09 - On December 9th, 2012 a resident on 2nd Street West reported the glass on his front door had been broken sometime over night. Investigation showed a chunk of ice had been thrown at the door.

BREAK AND ENTER - Salon Safari

2012-012-08 - On December 8th, 2012 police were called to a break enter and theft at the Salon Safari that had occurred sometime overnight.


Investigation showed that access was gained through the front door when an unknown person or persons destroyed the locking mechanism. 
A safe, quantity of cash from the tip jar and an antique cash register were some of the items taken.

CRIME OF OPPORTUNITY

2012-11-02 - On the late night of November 2nd, or early November 3rd, 2012 two unlocked vehicles in the 10th Street area of Revelstoke were rummaged through and of a Garmen GPS valued at $100.00 was stolen. 


This type of ‘crime of opportunity’ continues to occur in the Revelstoke area. It is strongly suggested that all residence lock their vehicles when not in use.

BIKE THEFT - Specialized Enduro (Men's)

2012-09-28 - Between the hours of 8:00 and 9:30 pm a Salmon Arm resident parked his vehicle near the Woolsey Creek Restaurant. 

Upon returning to the vehicle he found that some unknown person or persons had used bolt cutter to cut the lock off of his bike and removed the bike from the roof rack of the vehicle.

The bike is described as a men’s specialized Enduro mountain bike, black and red in colour with a value of $3000. The victim of this theft had come to Revelstoke specifically to mountain bike the following day.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY - McDonalds Revelstoke UPDATED!

2012-09-24 - On September 24, 2012 at approximately 10:00 pm a lone Caucasian Male, believed to be in his early twenties, entered the Revelstoke McDonalds located at 1880 Trans Canada Highway.
 
He was wearing a disguise, dark colored clothing, carrying a backpack and a black imitation-long barrel handgun.

The unknown culprit demanded money from the till however was denied and was subsequently chased off by employees.
 
 The unknown culprit was last seen headed in the direction of the Sandman Hotel. Police patrols of the area failed to locate a suspect.

Additional information:

On September 24, 2012 at approximately 2200 hours a Caucasian Male, believed to be in his early twenties, wearing a disguise and dark colored clothing with a distinct dark hoddy with white horizontal stripes, carrying a backpack and a black imitation-long barrel handgun entered the Revelstoke McDonalds Restaurant located at 1880 Trans-Canada Highway and demanded money from the till. 

The unknown culprit did not get any money and subsequently was chased off by an employee.

FINDING BRIANNE RUTH WOLGRAM


From 'Missing Children Society of Canada':

- Brianne was last seen on Saturday September 5, 1998 between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 pm at the 7-Eleven store in Revelstoke, BC. She was driving her black 1989 Acura Integra, which had distinctive gold rims and was bearing BC license plates GMN 661. Brianne's vehicle was found 5 days later on a logging road south of Revelstoke. -

GRAFFITI - Farwell Park

2012-09-03 - Some time during the late night of September 2nd or the early morning hours of September 3rd , 2012, an unknown person or persons spray painted graffiti onto a shed at Farewell Park with black paint.


Each year tens of thousands of dollars damage is done to business’s and other property by vandals who feel the need to express themselves in this kind of destructive manner.

STOLEN - 2011 Hasabarg Motorcycle

2012-08-24 - Some time during the early morning hours of August 24th, 2012, an unknown person stole a blue 2011 Husabarg motorcycle BC license plate U01679 from a residence on Park Drive, Revelstoke, BC. 

The motorcycle had 3/4 tank of gas. 

The keys were not taken.

FINDING SOTIRIOS KONSTANTIN KAVIRIS




This case goes back a number of years (October 2008) but still deserves attention, as Revelstoke was the last place he was seen and confirmed to have been.

Please note: his vehicle was found here in Revelstoke.







 
 

- Sotirios left his apartment in Pasadena on 10/15/2008 in his vehicle described as a 2005 dark blue, four-door Hyundai Elantra with CA Lic. 5NFP506 (also missing).

He drove to Canada with no belongings and was last seen at the Same Sun Lodge in a small town called Revelstoke, in British Columbia.


He sent a postcard to a friend in Florida that arrived the first week of November and has not been heard from again. -

Kaviris has several tattoos:

1) His first name 'Sotirios' (spelled in Greek Letters) across his back.

2) 'Dog tags' on left side under left arm.

3) Upper right back shoulder area:'USMC' with image of Human Skull & Crossed Rifles and 'Krazy K'.


Kaviris was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. He had recently purchased a rain pancho in Revelstoke, BC, Canada. -

BREAK AND ENTER - Grizzly Sports Bar

2012-08-14 - On the early morning hours of August 14th, the Grizzly Sports Bar was broken into and a sum of money and liquor was taken. 

Police suspect a lone male is involved in this incident.

VANDALISM - Revelstoke Railway Museum


2012-07-30 - Sometime during the evening on Monday July 30th, 2012 and the early morning hours on Tuesday July 31st, 2012, unknown culprit(s) climbed two of the flagpoles located at the Railway Museum, 719 W Track in Revelstoke, BC. 

Unknown culprit(s) removed a British Columbia flag as well as a Canadian Flag. 

In doing so, both flagpoles were bent causing damage estimated at, $1,000.00.

STOLEN - 2004 Chev Pickup

STATUS - RECOVERED

2012-07-23 - In the early morning hours of Friday July 20th , 2012, a 2004 Silver Chev pickup with BC license plate EG4208 was stolen from the 1200 block of Victoria Road.


Later in the day this vehicle was identified as being involved in the theft of gasoline from a service station in Claresholm, Alberta.

ZACHARY HOLLAND - WANTED

2012-07-28 - Zachary Holland age 25 is wanted on a Canada wide warrant for attempt murder, and four counts of arson stemming from a dispute with his girlfriend in Edmonton on July 15th, 2012.
 
Holland has connections to the interior of British Columbia.

2012-07-17 - Some time Saturday night July 14th a Red Townie bike with a black seat, black basket, kick stand with white flowers on the frame was taken from the 200 block of 2nd Street East area.

GRAFFITI - All Good Things Revelstoke

2012-07-05 -  In the early morning hours of Monday July 3, 2012 Revelstoke RCMP responded to a Mischief complaint at the, "All Good Things Revelstoke," located at 217 Victoria Road East.

RCMP discovered portions of the building with Graffiti; white spray paint with the wording, "Aero," painted on the side door, garage door and on the building wall.

BIKE THEFT - Douglas Street

2012-06-26 - A rash of bike thefts has been reported Revelstoke. Most bicycles have been stolen from front porches or yards and most have been left insecure.

Attached is a picture of one of the two bicycles that was stolen from Douglas Street between June 13th and 15th. 
  
This is a Specialized Enduro black and gray with full suspension and red writing and a red water bottle cage. The other bicycle that was taken is a red Kona Men’s with shocks.

SUBWAY ROBBERY

On 2011-11-29 at at approximately 4:50pm a lone male entered into the Subway Restaurant in Revelstoke, BC.

He robbed the staff of 246.00.

No weapons were displayed and no one was harmed during the robbery.

He is described as 5'10 - 6' tall, thin build, sunken face, blue eyes, with blonde or white facial stubble, between 40 and 50 years old. He was wearing a white jacket with a black design on it with dark blue jeans.

A composite drawing was completed and is attached.

FINDING MADISON SCOTT

Madison attended a party on Friday night May 27th at Hogsback Lake. The area is a former Forestry campsite, which also has a parking lot and boat launch area. There was two parties that night, one Madison was at, and the other a underage party. Madison was last seen by those at the party around 3:00 a.m. Saturday. There was another larger party the next night on Saturday May 28th at Hogsback Lake. RCMP would like to speak to anyone who may have attended either party, was camping in the area or was in the area over the weekend for recreational purposes.

Madison’s parents were worried about her on Saturday, and when she could not be contacted on Sunday the police were called.

Vanderhoof RCMP along with Search and Rescue Teams from Vanderhoof, Prince George, Burns Lake and Fort St. James conducted extensive air, water and ground searches on Sunday and all day Monday. Upwards of 150 volunteers searched, including horseback patrols, of the shorelines, walking and ATV trails and the logging roads in the area. Water areas were also explored with boats and side scanning sonar. Despite search efforts of the area, Madison is still missing.

Madison Scott is described as 20 year old Caucasian, 5 foot 4, 170 lbs with ginger hair. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jean Capri pants.

STRUGGLE AND THEFT - Illecillewaet River.

2012-05-21 - At approximately 4:30 pm a lone female was sitting alone in a wooded area near the Illecillewaet River.





She was approached by an unknown male on a white bicycle. After a brief conversation the male requested a cigarette reaching for her purse.

A brief struggle ensued and he departed the area with her belongings. She received some minor bruising during the incident.

Search of the area resulted in finding some of her property.

The male is described as approximately 40 years old, slim build, 180 cm tall, short stubbly beard, wearing a white “Nike” shirt, black jacket, black pants and wearing a black “Kangol hat”.

This is a very unusual type of offence for Revelstoke, and although the Police believed this to be a random crime of opportunity, the public is reminded to always beware of your surroundings and to report anything suspicious.

STOLEN - 2009 Polaris Dragon Turbo, Boulder Mountain

2012-05-19 - A report was made regarding a stolen snowmobile from the Boulder Mountain parking lot.



Some time between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm someone stole a 2009 Polaris Dragon 700 Turbo sled off the back of a pickup truck while parked at the Boulder Mountain parking lot.

The snowmobile was chained to the sled deck however the lock was cut. Value of the snowmobile is approximately $4700.00

ATTEMPTED VEHICLE FIRE - Second Street West

On 2012-05-08  - A report was made regarding an attempted vehicle fire.



 
Between 2300 hours on May 7th and 0730 hours on May 8th, someone attempted to start a fire in the gas tank of a red 2008 Dodge Ram while parked on the street
on the 500 block Second Street West. 








The culprit stuffed a handkerchief/do-rag into the fuel filler nozzle of the fuel tank. The rag burned out prior to doing any significant damage to the vehicle.

STOLEN - Snowmoblie & trailer, Pine Street










On 2012-04-27 a report of a snowmobile trailer and 3 snowmobiles were stolen from Pine Road, Revelstoke, was received.

The theft was believed to have occurred sometime between the evening of 25th and the 27th.


A 2009 Polaris 800cc, 2008 Polaris 8000cc and a 2010 Arctic Cat sled were stolen. The trailer is a 2010 grey box trailer with BC plates 95816C.

FINDING OWEN ROONEY

During the Spring of 2012 we received the following information from the Revelstoke RCMP detachment regarding a missing person case and felt it was worthwhile passing onto the public.

"This young man has been missing since 2010.  (W)e received a call that he may have been spotted up at RMR (Revelstoke Mountain Resort).  Our enquiries did not show any information however, if anyone does recall seeing Owen, please contact Revelstoke RCMP 250.837-5255 or Crime Stoppers."

From 'Find Owen Rooney':

- We are the Rooney family from Australia and are desperately searching for our son Owen, who walked away from the hospital and his belongings in Grand Forks, BC, on August 14, 2010. He has not been heard from since. It is extremely unusual for him to not be in contact with friends and family.

He had sustained a head injury on Aug 12.


He is 5'9" tall, 160 lb, has an Australian accent and was last seen wearing a dark shirt and shorts. He has tattoos on his right calf and on his shoulder (see pictures below, right). He worked at Big White in Kelowna for the past two winters and at a restaurant in Kelowna until his disappearance.

STOLEN - Ford F-250 w/ Trailer

STATUS:  TRUCK & TRAILER RECOVERED - SNOWMOBILE STILL MISSING

On 2012-04-25 - A white Ford F-250 with Idaho Licence plate 10381 pulling a 28 foot Charmac Enclosed Trailer "All Sport" model with custom wheels ( Idaho plate on the trailer is ZCK866) were stolen from the back parking lot of the Revelstoke Sandman Hotel.







Video surveillance camera's caught blurry images of two males possibly associated to an unknown White car with unknown licence stealing the above mentioned truck and trailer.




A 2008 Camo colored Polaris Snow mobile was in the trailer. No VIN number or picture is available at this time.

Also in the trailer was a lot of valuable video equipment and recorded footage of snow mobile touring in Revelstoke and Alaska.

VEHICLE VANDALISM - Taylor Street

On 2012-04-20 - During late evening hours or early morning hours of the April 21st, 2012, 4 vehicles were damaged by having rocks thrown through their windows.


All vehicles were in the area of Taylor St, Townley Road and Sibalt St in Revelstoke.





In a separate incident the following night, paint was poured over a vehicle on 6th St E.
