"OLLIE" - DOG SHOT NEAR REVELSTOKE - UPDATED!

10-04-2014 - On Saturday October 4, 2014 at approximately 1:00pm, a three year-old Husky Cross named "Ollie" was shot by a suspected firearm while out with his owner approximately 20 km west of Revelstoke on Wap Lake Road, near Three Valley Gap.
 

An adult male was observed getting into the drivers side of a pickup truck, with a firearm.  The adult make fled the scene as the owner of "Ollie" frantically gave chase on foot.

UPDATE:

- early 1980's Regular Chev 2 Door Pickup truck, possibly with a tonneau cover and     possibly a short box.
- NO LIFT KIT.
- front Chrome grill is the small chrome tubular after market grill.
- flat chrome bumper with no licence plate insert.
- paint colour is a mixture of  black and purple.

May have been seen in the Nelson area





Adult male is described as:

- late twenties to mid-thirties
- short dark hair
- few days growth of facial hair
- dark clothing and baseball cap

Pickup truck is described as:

- 2 door black Chevrolet short-box
- late 1980's or early 1990's model
- tonneau cover
- tinted windows
- distinct chrome grill
- very clean and appeared to be well taken care of





 

 
 
Although "Ollie" was transported to a local veterinarian, he later succumbed to his injury.  His death is believed to be from a single gunshot.

Revelstoke RCMP is continuing to investigate this incident.
